Supporting High Achieving Women & Motherhood:
When the Good Enough Mother is Not Good Enough
High-achieving women often enter motherhood with the same drive, competence, and high standards that have supported their success, only to find that motherhood challenges their sense of control, identity, and expectations in profound ways.
This clinical training explores the historical, social, and cultural forces that shape contemporary motherhood, including perfectionism, intensive mothering, unrealistic expectations, work-life integration, and imposter syndrome. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of the unique pressures experienced by high-achieving mothers and gain practical, clinically relevant strategies for supporting women as they navigate identity, relationships, career, and the complex transition into motherhood.
Designed for social workers and other mental health professionals, this training combines research, clinical insight, and practical tools to help providers offer more nuanced, compassionate, and effective care to high-achieving mothers.
